Voted on Friday. That mail in ballot thing sounds good for next time. We waited 2.5 hours in line.

I wish I had taken advantage of the early voting Instead I will be at my polling place tomorrow as soon as it opens at 6:30. And I still haven't made up my mind yet

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Here's to a great thread! My wife and I took advantage of the early voting option. I was very impressed with the organization of the folks in Knightdale. Everything was well choreographed.

Another bit of kudos goes to the NC State Board of Elections for a program they did this year. You could email the name of a veteran that you were voting in honor of and share a story. They quickly sent you a pin to wear stating, "I am voting in honor of ......" I sent in my grandfather's name. He passed last year. He was a veteran of WWII and a POW for 2 1/2 years in Germany. That was a nice service to offer.

Actually, that quote was from Boston. James Michael Curley.
All three of us voted early this year, so no long lines for us!

I voted early and glad I did. But when I was deciding who, it reminded me I was enjoying the right to decide who I would like, I remembered that for that freedom some brave men and women in our arm forces were standing beside me and giving there lives or being maimed for that right. God Bless those young men and women who are beside each of us. They are standing tall and with Pride.

I voted and it seems like it's a great turnout. Went at 10:30 this morning and no waiting lines, and I want to thank all of you who went early and made it easy for me.

Done, and it only took about 20 minutes, plus I got a sticker

This is the first election where my entire family was "of age" to vote. And I'm proud to say we ALL voted.

Ditto here, and my regular polling place is closer than the early vote site, too!!

Has anyone else had the thought that some of the more elaborate candidate signs would probably have some good lumber in them? Is it a crime to "steal" an election sign after the election if the intent is to "tree-cycle" it??

(Me thinks I have been snorting too much sawdust!!)

Go
I'd think a good use would be to use the signs to wipe instead of TP, but pretty much all of them are already full of....
