I can load them for you. It will be next weekend at the earliest though. I am near the Wake County/Granville county line.

I think the games are part of the OS and aren't actually "deleted" from the hard drive when you think you are deleting them. Hope this helps.
This is correct, but it also depends on how Windows was installed. If certain file weren't left on the computer when they installed Windows, you can't add the games without the Windows disk. Do you have email? If so, I could probably send you the games you're looking for in email. It may take me a day or so to find them and figure out exactly how to send them, but I'd be more than happy to help. Send me a PM if you have email and I'll do what I can to help. Try woodworker2000's suggestion first though. Just let me know.

My thanks to all who responded and for the tips. I could not get the old Toshiba to respond to any of the suggestions. I took Trent (wrf21) up on his offer and the computer has been delivered to my house. It works beautifully for the application I need. I was even able to load a few word games on. Dad like the word puzzle books, I don't know if he will be able to negotiate the games on the computer but at least they are there. I will be taking it to Greensboro sometime next week and trying to show Dad how to use it. I will have step-by-step instructions for each process (turning off and on and clicking on an icon. I will also have step-by-step instructions for each game. Unfortunately, I don't really have any hope that he will use it except when I am there with him to use it. That is the saddest part for our whole family, remembering how vibrant he used to be and seeing him now.

Thanks again to all and especially to Trent.

George

George,

I'm just happy to know that someone may have a use for something that I no longer have a use for. If you put shortcuts to the games right on the desktop, that would probably make them easier for him to find. I hope he enjoys it and I'm glad I could help.

Sincerely,

Trent

That's one of the things I did.
