As far as I know it is still on for this year. We get together then also. It's not as sweet as the Spring picnic, but it is still a great time with good food and fellowship.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Someones says let's do lunch. Posts it as a member announcement and before you know it you have a gathering. Lexington has some great BBQ places. If you schedule a lunch they will come. Try it.

While, it will still be primarily a major way to present ourselves to the woodworking public. I would also like to make it as large a "social event" as the spring picnic.

I will look forward to that day.

If you are reading about picnics in the magazines and they are far away, you are probably reading about scroll saw picnics. Our picnics are not that kind of event, complete with vendors and scrollers from all over the country.
Our picnics are wonderful gatherings of us NCWWers. We get to fellowship, eat (always good), show off our work, etc... At some point I'd like to go to a scrollers picnic, but meeting the folks we chat with all the time is soooo cool.

I too would love to go. You know Cathy the number of scrollers has increased in the North Carolina Woodworker family. Maybe we can get enough interest to rent a van or to car pool to the PA picnic? Might even be able to make a side trip to the Grizzly shop up there. Just a thought.

I classify it more as a scroll saw show. There was no food and I didn't know anyone. There were several venders and I bought lots of stuff.
