Thanks for all the kind words and stories. I'm glad to know a good group of folks who can laugh at, with and for me during times that try men's olfactories.

No, I don't have any pics, and probably never will. The last thought on my mind as the sewage kept on a pouring was "i gotta get a pic of this for the site. no pics, didn't happen and such".

I ran into Mr woodArtz in town, he was able to confirm that I need a few more showers. I think I might have to get the Old Spice and Brut by the gallon......

Wrock on folks and keep on flush'n!

Jim

After suffering through that, all plumbing work will be a piece of cake for you. You won't mind getting muddy, or wet when it is freezing oustide.

When you bump into someone at their wit's end with some house problem, you can always put it in perspective with your "let me tell you about..." story.

just GOT to ask....
while you were opening that main drain,
didn't you hear that tiny little voice deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep down within telling you
DON'T DO IT???????????
congratulations to you for getting to where you are.
Lord I hate plumbing.
This house was built by a plumber. Anyone care to take a guess at what 90% of the problems we've had here since we moved in have been?

Trust me folks. When I happened upon ole Jim, his parents were sitting up wind of him... and I quickly joined 'em there.

Jus' kiddin', I think the bushel of lemons must have done the job. Glad you got it all under control buddy! Hang in there.

Jim, you've been having some bad luck with the house lately. I can sympathize.
Thanks for making me feel like my day wasn't NEARLY as frustrating (trying to get air out of my Miata clutch after changing the master cylinder...) as yours was. I didn't get the siding back onto my house, but I've got 'til Thursday before it's supposed to rain again!
BTW, I found a fair amount of rotten wood, but no buglies. I count my blessings and give thanks for Chlordane from years gone by...
