I am sure many of us have had that "where did I leave the (insert name of tool) ? " moments. How good are you at finding stuff ? Courtesy of JOAT's link site :

I always start searching at the furthest point from where I am standing.

I've always found that a curious expression. Why would you look in another place once you've found it? By definition, it it ALWAYS in the last place you look - even if it was also the first.

I guess I'm not "blessed" with so many tools that I experience that one much. Normally I know exactly where I left it. That's not to say that that is where it will be when I go to retrieve it. But with a sparsity of tools at home and my shop packed up in a 10 x 20' storage unit along with all our other "non-essentials" (read "junk"), what I usually experience is, "I know it's in there... somewhere."

THAT Bas is so very true, and I have never thought about it.

I find them when I am doing something else later and set down and lose what I am now working with to retrieve what I lost earlier.

It's one of those blatantly obvious statements, universal and undeniable.

Shoot. I'll lose something 2 minutes after I last had it in my hand.

Now, where is that "Submit Reply" button?

(I used to "update" people's computers, by changing the label of the "My Computer" icon to "This here Computer" - very few people noticed! )

(How come I always get so far off topic? )
