Met a fellow member

Sorry for being so slow to post, but I got to meet a fellow member last Tuesday. Walnutjerry and his wife were in Wilmington visiting his BIL, who had just gotten out of the hospital. We got together for lunch and a nice visit. (Sapwood, we ate at Dockside). Brought him over to see my shop, though I felt ashamed after finding out his was 34x50 (WOW). Wish I would have had more time to pick his brain, I could have learned a lot. Carried him to visit Jeff at KMI to see some of the work the kids there were doing. Jerry is typical of the people I’ve actually met from this site, really nice and friendly.

Here's the proof. Walnutjerry walking around my garage/shop (very short walk).

Skeeter - glad that all of you had a nice visit - I agree with you about how really friendly and nice the people from North Carolina Woodworker are - don't be ashamed about your shop - from the picture it looks like a real nice shop -

I too have had the pleasure of meeting Jerry, in his shop, bumming his bandsaw. I totally agree with you, Jerry is a great fellow to visit with. And his shop is huge!!

Thanks for the kind words Charles, you were a sensational host----picking me up at BIL house, take me out for lunch, giving me a tour of your shop and house (where he hides all the nice projects completed in his shop) and a skirmish to water front. Why would anyone NOT BE NICE WHEN THEY ARE TREATED IN THAT MANNER!! Thanks again Charles for a great day.

Jerry

Well I forgot how to post I think.

Re: Met a fellow member

Dang, I miss the Wilmington lunches
The food, view, and company were always a delight. Glad you two got together

Jerry, I agree Charles is a wonderful host and a tour of his home is the best way to see his craft . . . though the shop is immaculate.

Thanks for sharing the visit and the obligatory pix

Roger
