No, I have not gone completely nuts. This truck will only be used to pull a horse trailer. Must be gas V8 with towing package. Also must be low mileage which seems to be a problem to find in an F250. I have been lead to believe I should buy a crew cab for longer wheel base to provide stability. Do not want a long bed. Will not buy a Dodge.

Would consider a Chevy if someone could make me believe the exterior and interior of the body will not fall apart. Do not have a problem with the power train. The last Chevy I had started to fall apart at about 20K miles. Happened to a lot of friends also. I will admit this was in the very early 90's. Just been afraid of them every since.

Should this be in a different forum? The reason I used this forum is because I am also looking for advice and your experiences.

This forum is fine by me. You should have good luck finding any V8 powered truck these days. With the cost of gas everybody is going to more fuel-efficient smaller engines. Dealers are looking to move out the gas guzzlers like they have the scarlet letter on them.
No advice, other than good luck in your hunt.

Dave

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.
