Now my side, I was going up the 2 lane hiway at about 50 mph, This light was changed last year so that when you want to make a left turn the light both ways will give green to left turns for a short time then turn green with a flashing orange sign as big as the light are high saying LEFT TURN MUST YELID . the light was green for me with the flaster working a tractor with trailer made the left turn across my path, About 50 ft behind him this other truck ( a perbuilt home mover tractor ) started across the road. I locked it down and slid into the passenger side right behind his door and hit the fuel tank and crushed it. my car is at the only place in town that knows how to fix Priuss, I talked to him just before 5:00 today and thinks he can fix it, I will know tomorrow witch way it will go. My son who is the 911 dispatcher in the aera was on duty when it happened so he came and got there before the state trooper did.
My only pain is one of my right ribs is a little sore when I move wrong but it is the same one that I broke several years ago, Pain is almost gone now. I do have a brace if I need it.

My son got some pictures of the car at the tow yard that I will post when I get them, and am going to complain to Toyota about the air bags, this is not the first time a Prius was in a wreck and the bags did not work, I know of several other ones.
The insurance company gave me a 06 Ford tukus for a car but it rides and drives like a tank. I NEED MY PRIUS BACK

Glad to hear you are ok, Dick. As others have said, cars can be replaced. Just be thankful it turned out ok for you.

Take care,

Dick knows by now: any accident you can walk away from is a good accident.

After my son was hit by the tractor trailer I was told that the wreck has to be straight on for the driver and passenger "front" air bags to deploy. They will not deploy from a side impact. IF this is really true it does not make me real comfortable.
