Way to go Tracy. That's a major, major milestone. You're now at the point where you can say - man, I've been smoke free for four months, if I can do that, I can stay quit forever! The hardest part is over, now the only trick is not to get complacent. Sort of like operating power tools

Good for you. That's not an easy task, I know I've never been able to do it. Pat yourself on the back, the hardest part is behind you.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Heard from a client..."If I had your tools and experience...I could do it myself"

The tough time is over.

Let me give you a little incentive you might not have thought about. I am having neck surgery in a couple of weeks. The doc said the best thing I could have done to insure successful healing was quitting smoking. I quit 37 years ago.

Keep it going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great job Tracy. Don't backslide and start puffing again. The hard part is behind you. I quit at 11:50 PM on December 31, 1974.

I just let the LOML read this thread. She is smiling, she did not realize it had been four months!. She has so much time involved in work and other things that the time has slipped by her. I really feel a lot better now and if anyone needs moral support you need to post it here and this wonderful group of people will steer you along the way!!!!!!!!!!! Here is the original thread I started, it is closed now and for a good reason, I AM DONE!

Thank all of you for reading these posts and responding with the positive support that is North Carolina Woodworker. I am now a better person because of you!!

Good going, Tracy!
BTW, you could tell your wife about one of the guys in the America's Best Home Workshops magazine. He and his wife agreed "...one new tool of his choice for every 30 days without a cigarette." He interpreted it as POWER tool and now has a shop that is 32' x 48' to house all of those tools!

That is terrific, Tracy Motivate yourself by keeping this in mind: every pack you buy is $4 less you have for tools and wood.
