OK, sorta...

This guy is a woodworker, right?

We drove down to Disney for Land/Sea vacation (4 nights at Disney World, 3 nights on the Disney Cruise). The family and I had a great time:

I will put up something more complete and post a link to it in this thread later.

Sorry I missed the picnic. We were off the boat and on the road by then, but way too far away to even consider it (we broke the drive up and stopped in SC anyway).

Glad you all had a good trip! I can still remember going when I was 5 or so. Hopefully you earned some browny points to add to the shop fund.

Good for you and the family! I'll always cherish my trip to Disney World. Did you all get to ride the Tower of Terror? I think that's what it was called. Anyway, that ride had just opened when I went there and I'll never forget it. Fun times!

You would think so, but now that we are back and looking for expenses to cut, the shop fund is one of the first casualties. "We" went way over budget (like close to double). I quoted "We" because I was excluded from the planning and booking of the trip, which is where that occurred. I was all smiles for the whole trip and did enjoy it, but there are a couple of items on the shop list that I need to get even if have to bake my own brownies...

No, the kids didn't want to do that one. We didn't spend much time in Hollywood (formerly MGM) Studios. They really didn't do all that many rides and very few more than once. It was mostly good news to me - the stuff they talk about as being the most fun is playing on the beach and swimming. That's stuff we do a lot and I can afford to do a lot. They enjoyed seeing Disney as much as doing Disney, if you understand what I mean.

My wife and I are planning a trip to Ohio to see her family so I will make sure the tool budget is safe before we go

Be safe playing in the kitchen, I tend to have more accidents in there than in the shop.

Good luck getting the tool budget built back up!

They were building that ride while I was working in the park, and they used the employees to test it. I've riden it at least 20 times. It's fun to put a stack of pennies on your knee and watch them rise up as your pulled down faster than the speed of gravity.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.
