I am late to the rescue, but I was gonna suggest some speedi-dry, like service stations use for soaking up spilled oil.

Spreading a layer of citrus hand cleaner on it and covering with a coat of sawdust or a piece of plastic may free up a bunch of the residue. Let it sit overnight before scraping it up.

You could always just give in, and paint the whole floor pink/peach.

Now, that there is cruel and unusual punishment. I'm glad they put him away. Give me the death penalty over a pink cell any day..

I'd take the death penalty as well........

My lawyer: "Actually, your honor, my client has declined the 2 years in jail and would rather have the death penalty."

Judge: "So he is changing his plea to insanity?"

My lawyer: "No sir, he is very much sane."

There is a silver lining to this cloud. I cleaned out that corner, tossed out a lot of old paint, and finally found the bucket of paint that I used in our kitchen. I needed it for some touch up work before I install some new trim today

Dave
Given your past record with paint, I would let your wife hold the paint bucket while in the kitchen. That wouldn't clean up so easy.

Dave, I'm glad to see you got the paint up. I was gonna suggest kitty litter (not the fancy clumping stuff). It's the same clay used in oil dry. Works great & it's usually cheaper. On another note from the pic, I don't want to sound like Captain Obvious here, but I'd rethink having that bottom stretcher on your workbench down against the floor if it's Spruce. Termites & mold love that sorta thing. They won't come around if they can't eat.

actually, he only served 3 years on probation as part of a plea arrangement, which is ironic, considering he campaigned on a "NO DEALS" platform, and had front license plates stating such mounted on his departments patrol cars.
