Just wanted to add that you should stay away from 1and1 at all costs. They are horrible. My email, which I depend upon for my lilihood, has gone down 3 times in the last 6 months. The last time was for SIX DAYS. Their customer service is horrible. I'm searching for a new home now.

As far as a shopping cart, I recommend OScommerce. It's very full featured and best of all it's FREE...just need to make sure you have SQL available in your hosting plan.

Chris, looks like the main page is trying to log into your cpanel. Not sure why.

I use 1and1 for domain registration only, I use knownhost for my provider, has worked very well, have a virtual private server, guaranteed resources, and my site generates lots of traffic.

My experience tells me this is a common problem with any "shared" and reasonably priced hosting solution, as I've had the same problem on every host I've used in the past 12 years from $200/mo to $4/mo. At that price they just can't provide "gold level" service and make money. I've decided to only create "alias" email addresses with those and then centralize into a "gmail" service (hotmail, yahoo, you name your service).
