I like fences... I was nearly thinking about a triple strand of concertina wire to keep the (really obnoxious) neighbor kids from using my yard as a shortcut or playground. fortunately they moved, and I couldn't get the concertina

Hmm, initially I thought - probably just let it go. But, all these occurrences build up a lot of frustration over time. One day, something small might happen, and you blow up, and things could get ugly.

Maybe the best thing is to go and discuss this with your neighbor, while you're calm, cool and collected. That will clear the air a little, and hopefully when something happens in the future it won't send you over the edge. It's all about prevention!

I have to agree with Bas about this. One occurance, maybe you overlook it, but repeated abuse to your property, now it's time to have a talk with your neighbor. However, instead of going over to his house, I would invite him over to yours and have a walk around your property and point out some or these "problems" to him. The hard part will be to stay calm, especially if he comes back at you with some smart remark. Hopefully he is a reasonable guy.

I too like fences, but now you are talking more money. Good luck.

Bob

My agreement with the fence comes from having had a real bad neighbor once. If you've never had one, your lucky, but you also don't realize the work that goes into keeping things civil. I used to work with a guy that told everyone how to raise their kids, even though he didn't have any. His comments never held water with the rest of us.

Jimmy

Sometimes fences don't even help... like when your bozo neighbor decides to toss all their kitchen scraps/leftover food over it and your dogs eat it and get sick.

I'd go rent a dumptruck and park it in his driveway until he gets a clue.

He did throw some chicken bones into our dog lot some. Our dog came in and puked and i at this point had asked him 3 times to stop with the food so I got the puke up in a dust pan went and rang his bell and slung it into his house. I never said anything but he also never put food in the dog lot again.

Man, this guy is lovely, I do feel for you man. The best day of my life was moving from NJ and getting away from the neighbor from he**. I think that you may have his evil cousin.

This is starting to sound like you need a BIG FENCE! Maybe even a minefield.

Good fences make for good neighbors!

My yard is fenced front and back!

You certainly need to call him about the cracked concrete. He's probably the kind of neighbor that would come over to your house barefooted & cut his foot on a jagged edge at the crack & then sue YOU! As for the liability, you may need to ask the neighbor for the name of the company that owned the truck. It may be their liability. I've had to sign many a concrete delivery ticket because the driver wouldn't be responsible for the driveway he was entering. Then you'd have the trucker & the neighbor arguing the blame.
