Well my wife got pictures, but seeing as she was on kid entertainment duty most of the time, they aren't of any members (maybe future members???)
For the parents of the kids here is a little fun -

Ms. Sophie Ferone sporting a very appropriate T-shirt and being very well behaved

Jeremy's oldest daughter...can we see what might be in her future

My daughter AvaO and her bug

Everybody playing nice in a shade spot on a beautiful sunny spring Saturday.

Respectfully submitted,
Dave

First picnic for me and my wife, Pat. What a great time. Everyone was every bit as nice in person, as on the site. Saw some really great scroll saw work (Thanks Cathy, Rita, Rob and Scott for bringing it!)! Everyone showed their generosity in visiting, door prize contributions and some GREAT food! Been a while since we had such a good time. This spring fling will be a permanent part of our calendar from now on!

I will second that thanks to Steve and all those who helped put this together!

Steve I can't say much more than what all of those who have posted before me. You and the LOYL have done so much to bring a swell bunch of woodworkers together where we have so much fellowship. I met so many new friends where now I to can place a face with the name. Great Time, Great food, and just a wonderful time. Susie and I thank both of you for a wonderful beautiful day. Thanks to all who helped to make this the best picnic ever. This is my 3rd and this was the best! :
Terry

I can only echo what others have said except to also thank Mrs. Coles for all she has done including the awesome name badges which included our avatars. Dave O posted nice pics of all the blonde princesses but I wish to add that not all of the wonderful guests were of the two legged variety here is Clara brought by Mr. & Mrs. David Fenton:

Despite the long drive from and back to Little Washington we had a fantastic time. Wow, what great BBQ (a change from the local variety)!!!! I even remembered some faces from last year and the few folks who have ventured out east to visit, and of course those who have memorable posts to go along with their Avatars- yup, I mean Bas!.

Thanks again, Steve, what a picnic and what a great guy!!

Thanks too, to Tom for letting me borrow the handle to his miter trimmer (it fits), and to GeorgeL for taking some excess PVC fittings off my hand (softened the impact of the cost of gas! 261 mi round trip!!!!)

Thanks so much Steve and your lovely wife for all of the hard work that goes into such an awesome event!!

Myself, LOML and 2 daughters had a wonderful time on such a great spring day with fine food, great folks and great conversation. Just wish we had more time to talk to everyone!

The show and tell items really boggled the LOML's mind! True artwork indeed!

Already looking forward to next years picnic!!

Wayne

(Steve ... A picture of your new North Carolina Woodworker plaque would sure make a nice cover photo for the 2009 calendar!)

Real people, we got to meet real people
And of course, renew old and middle age friendships

Steve and Gail,
You could not have done a better job. Linda and I had a truly memorable afternoon.

My pixs are in the gallery

Thank you Steve for founding a place where we all have been fortunate in meeting each other, growing good friendships, learning something new every day.

You and LOYL Gail really out did yourselves this year. As did all the rest of you who made this day possible.

I have found that, if you're lucky enough to be a member of North Carolina Woodworker, you're lucky enough.

I love you all from the bottom of my cold, cold heart
Really, I do!
Again, thanks.

Thumbs up

My family and I had a great time. This was the first year we could make it ... and having missed two, I'm glad I finally made it!

Steve ... thank you for such a special event. Not sure we could have asked for a better day, or group of friends. And the food ... ummmm (I'm still full!)

DaveO ... thanks for the great pic of my daughter ... that one picture alone will make this day live with me forever.

And here are a couple pictures of the gifts given to Steve by fellow members.
