Wife and I went up to Greensboro to look at motorcycles. After we didn't find much we went to Woodworkers Supply in Graham. What a neat store, and the people were great. Fellow wood workers. Had a salesman explain the different drawer slides, even though I told him I wasn't ready to purchase yet, my project wasn't off the ground. He explained what I would need to do to my project to use the slides I chose. Nice guy, wish I could remember his name. I came away cheap, a 3" aluminum face plate for my lathe.

Afterwards we headed to Hillsborough for Hog day. I was on chat with WoodArtz (Bob) that morning and he told me about it. We looked at the crafts, one turner selling pens and such but he wasn't in the mood to chat, ate some good food, then headed over to Bob's. It was great meeting him and his wife, the wives hung out in one corner of the shop chatting and Bob and I talked turning and such for a couple hours. Had a great time, and learned a thing or two.

Took old 86 highway back towards home, fun road in the Miata, nice and curvy, only thing could have been better was no rain so the top could have been down, or on a motorcycle.

Course I didn't get anything done in the shop, so I'll be down there all day today.

Bob, Did you get the shop cleaned up? Thanks for the hospitality. You guys will have to come down and visit the dome.

Sounds like a great day. There are several members in GSO that you missed, but sounds like a full day just the same.

What?? You left home intent on buying something, and came home with cash in your hands? That is a good day, indeed.

Didn't find the bike I'm looking for. In the past week 2 that I've been interested in got sold before I could look at them. Now if BMW would knock about $3k off a new one, it would be in my garage.

Sounds like a great day with friends. It is good to have a group of people that you know will always welcome you into their shops and homes. I haven't met a person here I did not like. I have never been to Woodworkers Supply without buying something.

Hey Rob, it was great meeting you and your wife!!! We had a great time chatting with y'all. Thanks for the help.... we're still not done with the shop renovation. It may take a while since the plans keep changing . It's fun when folks can get together... man I love this forum .
