Wow Mike great news

congrats bro . I know it is a bittersweet victory though . You really have a dream place up there

Count on me for extra hands. Don't think my truck would make it but I;m sure someone will have an extra seat I could occupy to get there

it is 45 mins to Sandy Ridge Rd from Yadkinville. Maybe a little less from Mocksville, Farmington, or Advance. Just in case you cannot find a place to your liking closer. Of course, you've probably checked on places in Stokes County.

I am making an offer on a home with 24 x 30 shop and 5 acres today.

I hope we can work something out with the owner, she has had it on the market for a long time and seems to have some problem with everyone who has tried to buy it.

Who could turn me down?

Oh, Cathy! Don't send prayers my way, I don't have any power except through the Father. I would appreciate any kind words you might whisper to Him though!

The house is near Walnut Cove, I just signed the offer. Should know something Monday.

It's about 30 minutes from Greensboro.

Mike,
Glad to hear you finally sold the farm. I know the commute to Greensboro really put a strain on both you and the family. Will be sad to loose you as a neighbor.
I just learned this week that I am going to have to have a total hip replacement soon. I am trying to hold off until the first of the year. That being said, I can't be of much help in lifting and loading things, but I have a 6x10 ft. trailer with drop down tail gate. It has a load capacity of 3,000 lbs. I will be glad to come over, get it loaded, then drive to Greensboro if that would help.
Is the camper you mentioned the one up on the hill?
Let me know if I can help

My father in law had both hips replaced and while it did take a few months to recover he wishes he had done it five years sooner. He gets around much better.

That would be a big help Jim! Trucks, trailers and helpers to load and unload will all be a great help to us.

Yes, the little trailer up on the hill, do you know anybody that can use it? I need to get a few things out and let it go very soon.

Oh, we're only going about half way to Greensboro, I couldn't find anything closer.

Mike -- here's hoping that the deal goes through! What more could a woodworker ever want -- a 720 sq ft shop and only about 15 miles from Wall Lumber in Mayodan! I'll be envious, my friend! Got my fingers crossed for you!

I had a hip replacement a couple of years ago. The recovery was a breeze consdering the pain of needing it done. However, I still think about pushing, pulling, lifting a lot differently than I used to.

It is looking good so far, hope to move around Dec. 7, 8, 9.

Pizza and age appropriate beverages for all helpers on moving days and a big BBQ to follow after we get settled in.

Gee, that sounds like a staging location for the Pony Express. Or an excuse to drop in on Mike & family.
