THEY WANT TO CLOSE ON DEC. 5, SO I AM WORKING HARD TO FIND A NEW SHOP WITH DETACHED HOME.

Sorry about the cap lock and I type too slow to fix it.

What does this mean to North Carolina Woodworker?

Well, I have lots of goodies to give away, I will need some help moving my shop, wood stack

and some misc. furniture that the family insists we need.

I will try to make some pics Saturday, but some of the give-aways are

Small aluminum camper-trailer
various lawn mowers and a small garden tractor
Very old solid wood panel interior doors
maybe some tools and or wood
Wood frame windows suitable for a shop

I will be living closer to Greensboro and hopefully have a larger shop, same great BBQ and more time to work on the sawdust pile.

CONGRATULATIONS! I know you'll miss the old place. You guys have a unique situation up there. Best of luck finding your new shop and home. I know you'll enjoy a shorter commute.

Mike, this great news. I know you had a tough 2008 but it looks like you will be ending it on a high note.

Good luck on the SHOP search, Mike! Hopefully, it'll have a house with it as well. Of course, you could just live in the camper.

Congratulations and good luck on the search. Funny the wife and I were just talking about looking for a small farm to move to in about 10 - 15 years.

Thanks Phillip,

I will need lots of help, the more the merrier. I hope we can form a caravan of pickups to move the shop and some outside stuff.

That's one reason for the give-away, to help off set the cost of helping me move. Of course there will be food and beverages when the job is done!

We will rent a truck for all the household stuff.

Hi Mike,

Let us know how the details work out. If I'm around, I'll make time to lend a hand.

Any idea what area you're looking to move to?

Glad to hear of your sale - especially in times like this.

Been fighting this for a while, but... One of the few times I have heard of someone being happy a person "...bought the farm!" Yeah I know - that's bad...

I left Hickory 10 years ago and hope I never have to stop in that --- forsaken place again.

Really the only reason I'm giving up my place is to cut down on the two hours in the car each day. If I didn't have to work in Greensboro I would be happy on my little farm.
