Does anyone know where to buy extruded rubber or dense polypropolene that could be used as boat bumpers on a dock? I was just at Overton and they are asking $50 for a 4' long 2" x 4" piece of extruded rubber. I know it has the 'dockmate' brand name, but you have to be kidding to think that a dense rubber 'board' is worth that kind of money.

Anyone know a source for getting this type of material? I found some online sources like Acme Rubber but they only sell to industrial companies and will not sell to the public.

Looking for either a rectangular end shape or a L shape that could be used to cover the corners of a boat dock. Let me know if you are aware of any suppliers that would sell directly. Picture below is the dockmate version for $50.

thanks,

Rick you might check here - http://www.smallparts.com/
It's a great place for a lot of different types of raw materials. I think that they will sell to anyone, and the prices seem reasonable.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

We used old Fire hose in FL. Might want to check with the local FDs and see what they do with the damaged hoses.

Sound Marine - Wilmington - www.soundmarine.com Mark Johnson, he builds docks by the mile.
