I still have a fence charger my dad had back in the 50's. It has a red and green light that alternate. I remember as a kid trying to time touching it when the green light was on. Trust me, I don't care how big, fast, dumb or tough your dog is, he won't test this one but once...maybe twice. Both of my dogs hit it once and laid in the middle of the yard and I had to go pick them up. They also needed a hosing off. Knocked the crap out of them. From that day forward, it only took a piece of string to keep them out of anything.

I made the same mistake, except I was petting the to be trained lab and backed into the wire after installation. I don't know which appendix you touched it with but backing into it in a bent over position will certainly light you up!!!!!
