It really goes to show just how important water is in every aspect of our lives.
Maybe I should turn to steam power for my shop...oh crap, that won't work either

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Dave It's time to get large hamster wheels and hook'em up to generators so that you can get the elves to work for you making energy. Besides it's about time they start working off some off that beer .

I don't think the levels have improved any since then. It could also start to affect coal fired plants as well. ............Got any hand saws & planes for sale? Don't sell that old treadle scroll saw! |

Name: Bruce City: Apex State: NC County: Wake Join Date: Nov 2005 Avg Visit Freq/Week = 6.26 over 180 days | Bad news = good news. With Progress Energy thinking about flooding Harrris Lake to the 240 elevation, that is good news for me. My property line is about the 242 elevation. That equals to WATER FRONT PROPERTY. Maybe that will justify the $55,000 per acre value that the Wake County Dept. of Revenue has placed on my land. That is an increase of $ 49,000 per acre over what I paid for it in 1979. Also, why do you think Town of Cary wants to locate a waste water treatment plant(sewer plant) only a quarter mile from Harris Lake? In times of serious drought, instead of sending effluent to the river ten miles away, just put it in Harris Lake. Everybody wins, except for poor minority community that is next to proposed location. |
