I may drop in a time or two...

I will be on vacation starting Saturday for about 10 days (yep, missing the picnic ). I will have a computer with me "courtesy" of my employer in case of an emergency where they need me to remote in for something. I think that will help me get a lot more mileage out of my digital camera and I may pop over here while I am uploading pictures.

We're doing the Disney Land/Sea thing. My wife booked it and pretty much locked my cheap you-know-what out of the room while she did. We have 4 kids and there aren't many places that sleep more than 5, but I am kinda ashamed at the excesses (our accommodations on the ship are about 1000 sq ft). I will get over it. The kids will have a great time and I will not gripe about the money. I guess this is part of the future I was saving for. She did one of the all inclusive packages so we have tear off tickets for eating and entering parks. If any of you have a cheap spouse/partner like me, this is the way to do it. It's like taking the band aid off all at once. Just tell them to look the other way and yank. YMMV...

(the umbrella is to keep the pooh off my head)

Sorry - it just isn't one of my posts without at least one bad joke...

Have a safe trip and a great time. Sorry you will be missing the picnic. I will eat your share of the food so you don't feel left out!

Andy,

This is a pretty good excuse for being away for a few. I hope you and yours have a terrific time.

When you return I'll tell you all the dirty little Disney secrets I learned while I worked there. The "magic" is gone from the kingdom for me now.
Have a great time, and pay attention to the landscaping imagining what it takes to keep it all up

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

OK, I won't ask you to spill the beans yet save for just on little yes or no question. Inquiring minds just gotta know - did you have to do a day in a costume?

No, I only worked in the Horticulture Department. But our lockers and break area was right next to the "zoo" crew, and I got to know the characters very well. Seeing Goofy walking around without his head on was well....rather goofy to say the least.
