It looks like I got a new shop critter
She just showed up one day (someone must have dumped her in the middle of the night, it happens here), and she decided to make my shop her home.
I dont feed her, but the lady nextdoor gives her something to eat everyday, she follows me around all day long, its ok as long as she behaves

She's really pretty. I showed my wife the pic (she's the cat lover) and she said you should name her Penny, for her copper color.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

My daughter would die for a cat like that, we just had one hanging around for about a month ( even brought her in at night to stay in my daughters room when it was cold) but suddenly she disappeared. If it has claws it's an outside cat, if not she can stay inside.

Pretty cat.

We had one to adopt us in early November. I didn't feed him for 4 days thinking he would leave...but he didn't. I put down an apple core in the shop one day and he began eating the core. So I figured he was really hungry so I started feeding him..needless to say he is still here. He is a real pale yellow color all over so I named him "Pale Rider". Sometimes he will go into the shop but leaves when I turn on the loud tools. He doesn't attempt to come in the house...a good thing since our house cat does not tolerate anything envading her space.

Bruce - thanks for the referral!

Earl, with regard to Bruce's post - my wife is a veterinarian that runs SNAP-NC, a low cost non-profit mobile veterinary surgical group. They offer low cost spay's and neuters, and travel to most counties surrounding Raleigh. Their mission is to reduce pet overpopulation and the need to euthanize dogs and cats. They're in Goldsboro about once every 6 weeks and in Smithfield about the same.

You can't beat their price or their quality - with over 37,000 surgeries performed to date they really know what their doing. Typically a pet will receive all shots and vaccines at the time of surgery, and they can even put in a microchip if you wish.

You can find out more about them at www.snap-nc.org; the number to make an appointment is listed on the web site along with the schedule of when they will be at what locations. You'll need to schedule well in advance; they're usually booked up 1 - 2 months in advance and they do surgery by appointment only.

Scott, you definitely can't beat the price. As for the quality, my dog has a different opinion. Something is missing- he spent two weeks trying to figure out what. Now he doesn't care. Can't afford the price, just drop her off at Scott's and come back in a couple weeks and ask "Has anybody seen my cat?" I wouldn't hang around at Scotts place too long though, just a warning. Scott, what day are you going to the Southern Farm Show.? It is a week earlier this year.

Scott
I usually go on Wed., or Thur. On Friday, everybody is ready to go home for the weekend, or so it seems. Sometimes I go back on a second day if something caught my attention. I do enjoy seeing the different brands of saw mills.
