Ok, my downstairs unit has been constantly in need of freon. More recently, the fillups have been more often. the Warranty company seems to have fired the company that HAD been coming over to work on my units. This time, the outside unit is going, but now the inside blower won't even come on. Yes, I checked all the fuses, and like I said, the unit itself seems to be going.

Leak test has been ordered and performed, need a new evaporator coil. No word on when to expect that. Since the blower is no longer working I turned the unit off completely.

It's getting a bit warm downstairs not good for my wine and beer fermenting projects.

The warranty company wasn't very responsive 7 weeks ago, more responsive a week and a half ago, we'll see how they are this time.

Just remember "The Squeaky Wheel Gets The Grease" As far as the beer and wine, At all costs protect those, I am sure lots of folks in your area can offer a "safe haven" for those important projects. Hope it turns out well.

Sounds like the control board on the inside unit is toast. Due to higher SEER units, when you replace one (inside, or outside) the other is also replaced. Service guys may be able to get an "old " evaporator coil. Remember that it is in the warranty company's interest to fix it as cheap as possible.
