I have been to the venue, but not the event. If you have any questions about the Greensboro Coliseum, I'm sure I can answer 'em.

I have attended the show many times. It has gotten smaller and smaller over the years and even dropped for a year. If any of the members plan to attend, we should make an effort to get together for ???

Are they skipping a year? The dates and days of week don't match up for this year and the title says 2009?

They're skipping this year. The dates (in 2009) are correct.

I have been to thar event nearly every year for the last 10 years or more. The number of vendors has declined over that period of time. I have also made several purchases at that event---but the number of vendors for the small shop owner has seen the biggest drop.

That event was originally geared to the furniture industry and millwork companies so you will not see a lot of gadgets for the hobbiest. Good place to talk to factory reps on blades, tooling of all types, hardware, small hand tools of industrial quality, etc.

If you have never been it would be a good experience for you.

Thanks for all the information. Was looking for something else when stumbled upon that site. No, didn’t catch the fact event won’t be held until 2009. OOPS!

Thanks again!

According to their webpage, this year's show (200 will be in Fredericksburg, Va., March 13 and 14. Interestingly, this is the same timeframe (March 14 - 16) as the Woodworking Show in Chantilly, Va. near Dulles airport. About 50 - 60 miles apart. Could kill two birds with the same proverbial stone so to speak.

My question on the Industrial WW Expo is does anyone know how to come by a free vendor pass? This show goes for $20 otherwise. Has anyone looked into getting a free pass? If so, how did you do it? A number of Carolina businesses will be there it looks like.

Ray,

I have gotten a number of free show passes to different shows in the past. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to who sends them (vendors), but they got my name from a mailing list supplied by WoodShop News ( I subscribe using a business name as well as my own).

Jimmy

ps. Haven't gotten any this year...yet !

Use GSO or EM1 in the 'free pass code' block on the registration form.
