Is it just me, or does it seem like more and more sellers are listing a bunch of tools as a package and state they don't want to sell them individually? I do that sometimes when giving away stuff (especially paint) to keep people from cherry picking, but not for selling. It's really annoying to see an ad with something that interests you along with several things that don't and then find out it's all or nothing.

It is called "one and done". From the seller's view point the first person who shows takes it all and they don't have to make 30 diffferent appointments. Simple and easy. Not real world thinking.

I think over time and if they really want to sell they will take offers or even list for individual pieces.

I agree with you man, but I do understand where the seller is coming from.

To me it's like trying to sell a boat ... but with a trailer, jet ski, and truck to pull it. Gonna take a while probably to find the "right" buyer.

Yeah, I understand the why to some degree. The flip side is that as a buyer I expect a significantly lower price on a bundle. But it just seems more prevalent lately. Maybe it is the downturn forcing people to sell, needing a certain amount in total.

I saw one guy on Charlotte's CL who is willing to trade equipment for a sports car. I guess you've gotta get out of one hobby/business to start another.

It'd be nice to sale it all in one deal, but that's not likely to occur.

I once knew a guy that had to sell a Harley to finance a plane. SWMBO wouldn't let him have both.
