Lincoln was elected president in 1860, Kennedy in 1960.

Lincoln's assassin, John Wilkes Booth, was born in 1839. Kennedy's assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, was born in 1939.

Lincoln's secretary, named Kennedy, warned him not to go to the theater on the night he was shot. Kennedy's secretary, named Lincoln, warned him not to go to Dallas on the day he was shot.

Booth shot Lincoln in a theater and ran into a warehouse. Oswald
shot Kennedy from a warehouse and ran into a theater.

Both Lincoln and Kennedy were shot from behind, with their wives present.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808. Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

Good history lesson, it is bizarre how the dates and events are so closely related.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

I'd like to add a quick quip about Bush Jr, Bush Sr, Bill Clinton and Hillary, but just can't do it without making a political statement that would land me in trouble with the moderators.

Sometimes it's not funny how history repeats itself.

yup, you're correct! I copied the statements from a college book I have - Thinking Mathematically - I followed up by checking Oswald's birthdate. Still 1939.

My Dad has a framed card with all of these facts listed. It has a Kennedy 50 cent piece and a Lincoln penny at the top. Has had it since shortly after Kennedy was shot.
