Type of Help Needed: How Do I
Where: Gallery

Can I retrieve photos from my Gallery and export them to the desktop on a Mac iBookG4? One of my friends wants to look at some pics, but he's not a member of NCWoodworker. Unfortunately, I deleted many of them from my iPhoto Library on the Mac.

Thanks for your help.

Just kiddding.

I would think you could, but I don't have a clue.

One way to do it, Jeff....

With Windows, I just open the picture I want to download from the Gallery, right click and select 'Copy'. I then open Word or Powerpoint and do a 'Paste. That will get the picture and then possibly save it as a Jpeg file?

Re: Retrieving photos from the Gallery

Thanks folks! I've played with it a bit and transferred some pics from the Gallery to a desktop folder.
I attached that folder to an email and sent it, but don't know how it'll work.

More later.

Re: Retrieving photos from the Gallery

Jeff, non-members can browse our Photo Galleries.

You can send your friend a link to your Member Gallery: http://www.ncwoodworker.net/pp/showg...00&ppuser=2132

Or, any links to pics you'd like to.

We do restrict Uploading files to members, but anyone can browse.

Hope that helps.

How do you delete a photo you've uploaded?

Re: Retrieving photos from the Gallery

It's clear as mudd.

Open the pic, in the upper right hand corner, there is a pull down menu named "Photo Options"

Pick "Move/Delete".

Now for the totally confusing part..... Below the pic will be new options, including a check box to
"Delete Photo" a picture. Check the box then hit Submit.

Bob's your uncle.

Re: Retrieving photos from the Gallery

er nope. The "Photo Options" pull down menu contains:

User Options
Add to Favorites
Post a comment
Report Photo
Send as e-card
Receive Email Updates
Print View
Switch to Direct Links
Admin Options
Edit Photo
Close Comments

The "edit photo" option worked. I originally thought that was a Admin Options sub menu because of it's placement, and I never even clicked on it. I be skeered of buttons dat I don't know whut dey be doin.

Re: Retrieving photos from the Gallery

Ah, thanks for letting me know. I must be seeing extra options you don't get.

Adds to the "simplicity" don't it!
