You guys are doing great stuff!!

I was going to suggest two unrelated items, but at least one has been fixed or my computer is working better-

1. The "Forums" drop down menus were always disappearing before I could select the one I wanted. Sometimes I had to start over and cursor over "Forums" two or three times before catching the sub-menu item I wanted. It seems to work fine now. Was this just me or did you guys fix the timing or something?

2. The are many forums I seldom read, other than when an item appears in "Recent Threads." Is there anyway we could have a "user-customized" Forum Menu and or Navigation Bar? Something like this:

General Woodworking
Workshops
Power Tools and Their Use

Forum Menu >>

p.s. Is it possible to turn off the pop-out Site Navigation Bar?

.

Re: New "Online Users" Survey

1. The Forums Blue tab had a Delay added by Toolman.

So, if you hold your mouse over the tab, after ~2 seconds, the submenus will open.

There is also a 2 second delay on the sub-sub menus (such as Whats Going On).

We were noticing the issue you mentioned.

2. Customized forum selection/subscription has come up before. It was discussed and we determined not to pursue it. No simple tools were available.

We also felt it could limit the overall experience of the site.

I do feel (personally) we have too many forums.

On your p.s., I think what you are asking about is the Floating Menu. You can disable that in your User Settings in "Edit Your Details", at the bottom of the page.

Thanks,
Jim

Re: New "Online Users" Survey

1. Thanks!
2. Darn.
3. Thanks!

p.s. I agree about too many forums but "Recent Threads" helps with that problem.
