What are the maximum picture sizes and what is re-sized? There is some confusion about these questions, so the purpose of this FAQ is an attempt to clarify these issues.

In effect, this must be divided into 2 distinct areas based on which of the 2 systems available is used to store and upload the pictures.

Attachments:
  • Max file size = 250K
  • Max. Resolution = 640 x 640
  • Displayed as 320 x 320 Clicking at specified spot on picture will show the full image
Photo Gallery:
  • Max file size = 32MB
  • Max Resolution: 2300 x 1800 (if greater, image is re-sized to 2300 x 1800)
  • Intermediate resolution: 800 x 800 (if the Photo is greater than 800 x 800, a second image is created at 800 x 800 and is also saved) The intermediate image will become the "default" image displayed in the Photo Gallery, though by clicking on the image, the larger image will be displayed.
  • Displayed in post as max of 600 x 600 (clicking on designated area, will display either the intermediate version of the larger version, depending on which version you embedded in you post
