Type of Help Needed: Problem
Where: Main Site
Assigned To: Bas
Help Desk Status: Assigned

Last few weeks I noticed the main page no longer fits in the browser. I'm afraid if I re-size it I won't be able to read anything cause the print will be too small. Actually you'll see several things are all whacked up in this picture... it's way over crowed, I'm starting to get confused... which ain't hard. I need to keep the resolution @ 1024x768.

Thanks

Re: Main page don't fit

one more the "other links" and search menus is jagged - I re-sized so the main page will fit but it's pretty small - I may need a magnifying glass to read it. Hope I'm not being a PITA, just trying to point out a few area where I'm seeing problems.

Re: Main page don't fit

Jeff, as far as the page size goes, my screen is set at 1200x800 and it all fits well.

Other than that, I dunno.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Re: Main page don't fit

I kind of hate to do this, but I agree with Jeff on the main page. I am running 1024x768 and it is too big. This is on my home PC's and my work PC all running Internet Exploder 6 and 7.

On replies and other things, it fits.

Re: Main page don't fit

No problem for me, with the glasses that is. Without them, I can't see the laptop at all.

Re: Main page don't fit

Jeff, it's either too much information on the page or your resolution is too low. Take your pick. With the Classifieds on the left and the profile/ ads/ stats/ birthdays on the right, space is scarce. I set my screen to 1024x768 and I can reproduce some of your problems.

One option would be to remove the most recent classifieds from the left hand side of the screen. That would save some space. With the classifieds now showing up as "forum posts", they may still receive enough attention. But it's not ideal, and it would impact everyone.

I'm afraid your in the very small minority here with the 1024x768 resolution. But let me think about it.
