I'm not sure what exactly this feature is called. I have recently noticed that the forum makes some assumptions about abbreviations. For example, "N C W W" (remove the spaces) is automatically replaced with "North Carolina Woodworker". "T S" (remove the spaces) is replaced with "tablesaw".

Can I turn this off in my user settings?

TIA,
J

No you can't. This is being done purposely in order to appear more "content rich" for the search engines
