I tried to download the rules and the prizes list for the raffles but received the following message:
Slow Down! You are trying to download files too quickly. You must wait 17 seconds before you may download another file.
This has happened to me before. I can wait an hour and still get this message. I did a search on the message but nothing came up showing me this had been asked before.

Try clearing history and Browser cache, that should help.

I even tried a different browser. It seems to be tied to my username.

I've seen this before too ... IMHO yet another useless feature in vBulletin that gets in the way of doing something. Try again tomorrow ... it probably has a limit set per day considering the message.

Hmmm, we are setup for almost no limits on downloads.
Which leads me to suspect we are tripping the Denial of Service download attack protection code.
I'll keep digging.
The premise is, if someone "evil" wanted to harm the site, they could go nuts downloading lots of files and big ones. The combination of how many and how big the files that are downloaded are make up a formula.
I think this code watches for all users and files, so its probably not specific to your download attempt.
Or..... its because I had some candy for breakfast.....

Just for the record, the Download Library records each download, who did it, and what they downloaded.
So, its good to hear that different browsers didn't work, as that is what we'd expect.......

Wow. I guess since I didn't write the download software, it must have a bug in it
I'll keep looking. We do get a log of your attempts, hopefully I can find a pattern.

Could you post a link to the file or files you are trying to download and maybe I can download them for you. Also curious as to the problem because I have downloaded several files just to see if it worked ok for me and so far it does. I am using a broadband connection with Windows 7 and firefox. if that matters.
