Well, today I put my Phil Thein baffle to the test. Emptied out the can under cyclone, connected baffle system to 12" planer ahead of the cyclone. Ran about 200 linear feet of 13/16 stock down to 3/4. Pieces were 2" wide. Edged them on planer also. Can under the baffle had one and one half five gallon buckets of chips, and can under cyclone had less than one cup of chips. What was in cyclone was mostly fine dust. If you have either a planer, or jointer, you ought to build a Phil Thein Baffle. See my post "Another Vote for Phil Thein's Baffle" for pictures of mine.
