Simple but functional wood storage rack

A little somthing I put together yesterday. Been needing a better storage system instead of the old rickety table I had been using. Especially now that I will be soon picking up some cherry. Cleaned this catchall table off and will use it for keeping the milled lumber sorted that is part of a project in progress.

Just cut up some scrap 3/4 ply 7" x 16" and tapered the ends down to 3". Leveled each one and screwed to the studs. I dont think you could park a car on it but it seams to be strong enough for what I need it for, I could pull myself off of the floor holding on to just one. The best part the only cost was the screws, all the ply came out of the dumpster.

If I had it to do over I would have cut the shelveing a few inches longer, but thats easy enough to change ther's plenty more good ply thrown in that dumpster.

Looks great.

Cheap or Free always makes it a very good investment.
