With my recent clamp acquisitions, my former clamp rack would not accommodate. So I set out to build one that would and could hold more, because I am sure I'll buy more clamps sometime. This current rack takes up the same space as my old one but has the capacity to hold probably twice as many clamps.

Scrap ¾" plywood, glued and screwed.

Re: New Year...New Clamp Rack

You got them all neatly arranged, nothing like being able to get your hands on the right clamp without having to search.

Re: New Year...New Clamp Rack

Now that is a neat concept. Much better then mine, I might have to copy it if I acquire more clamps.

The clamps or the rack I picked up more than the clamps the other day. I also got a great storage solution. A little research led me to the FWW article which is probably where you got the idea for your from.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Cool storage solution Dave, better planning than I would have done for future needed space

Re: New Year...New Clamp Rack

I got my clamp rack from a book, but I believe it was a FWW book.

It does hold a lot of clamps that is for sure!

Good job on the rack, Dave. I am sure you will take some ribbing about your clamps being different colors.

Same thought came to my mind when I saw the pic with Norm's mug slapped up close with a cheerful smurk.

Good looking clamp rack ... and clamps!

Re: New Year...New Clamp Rack

I could of had a V8 I’m gonna copy that idea.

I’m afraid to ask but…Hanging right of your clamp rack is a paddle. What type of woodworking tool is that? What do you use it for?

That helps keep the Elves in line Actually it's a pattern for some cheese boards I've made.

Re: New Year...New Clamp Rack

OK now, not all of my clamps are the same color. I am preferential to the red, but I do still have some orange, yellow, and miscellaneous.
