I need to make some sawhorses. Stackable sawhorses. The ones I want to make, or similar anyway, are in one of the issues of Shopnotes. I've got the issue in question. Problem is, it's developed legs and walked away - probably made with pulp from sapient pearwood. So it looks like I'll have to reinvent the wheel. There's at least a picture of what i'm interested in, because i've seen one before. But now, of course, after some intense surfing I still can't find even a picture. A blowup of it would be even better. I do have some ideas, because it looks like I will be reinventing the wheel, but would like to see a pictur at least. Can anyone provide me a link to a picture? Oh yes, this is for a stackable sawhorse, it's maybe a foot or so tall, a foot or so longs. One will work fine as a step stool. Two stacked are at the right height for a seat. Theis size would be great for my small shop, and stack nitely and out of the way in a corner, while taking up minimum floor space. Got linke?

Thanks if you can help.

Theo, you need some plans
I don't take Shopnotes otherwise I would be hunting for the issue, I don't seem to be able to get rid of any WW mags. Good luck with your search

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Just beat a couple of 2x6's together - I did that many years ago and the things are still together. They look like _ _ _ _ but a saw horse is not about a fashion show or photo contest is it?

Not close enough to win a ceegar. But you did inspire to try another search, with SHOPNOTES ISSUE 12 as the search phrase. Which got me to qa site that gave me a link, that led me to a link, and so on, u ntil I finally dug this out. http://www.shopnotes.com/issues/042/ I'd like to have found a blow up diagram, but this will do for now.

I always work with plans, just that they're in my head, not on paper.

I have exactly two copies of Shopnotes, but can't find that particular copy. If fact got rid of most of my woodworking maazines quite awhile back. The only woodworking magazine I keep and still get is WoodenBoat.

I made these a year or so ago, love them. Stackable and I like the replacable 2x4 on top for when it gets cut up.

Ah yes. That's the one alright. Now if I'd been able to fine a picture as good as this one I'd never had had to ask.
