It's about time

About 2 1/2 years ago, I bought Emmert work alike vise from Lee Valley. It was called the Veritas Tucker vise. Since then it has been sitting in it shipping box under the Table saw extension. It just never seemed the right time to do improvements on my bench.

I finally completed wall cabinets and shelves in the shop and started getting things off the floor and into them, when I came across the vise. I was about to move the box to somewhere else so I have room to build the cabinet under the tablesaw extension.

Then it dawned on me that I wouldn't have to keep moving the box from place to place, if I just went ahead and mounted it

Oh and guess what else was there. A vertias twin screw vise Guess what's next on my to do list

Re: It's about time

I think this is one of the dark secrets of woodworking... or maybe it's just symptomatic of WoodGuy Disease. We buy things and they sit under something somewhere in the shop... not installed for long periods of time. (Probably some interesting / embarrassing stories here...)

It must be like Christmas in your shop everyday, with all the tools you've bought and lost...only to find again

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Hey Steve, YOU SUCK!!
I feel really sorry for you. Do you want me to come over and clean up some of that "clutter" you've got under the bench?? I know a good place I could "dump" it!

Re: It's about time

Nice job on the Tucker vise Steve, if you don't feel like installing the Veritas I'm interested in purchasing it.

If you had that in an index fund instead of under a table in your shop, just think what could have been.
