Time for the Dumba** of the week award.

Last week when I quit working I noticed that dust and wood chips covered the shop on every surface. Never noticed that it was snowing inside. So the last thing I did last week was pull out my dust collector, flip it on and look for the leak. Seeing that it was leaking in the back I figured first thing this weekend I would fix. Went out this morning to start, turned dc around and bag had pulled loose from clamp. Reason......you really need to empty those suckers every now and then!!!!

The only question that I have is where the heck did you find all of those dancing smilies?

Making one of those Phil Thien-type separators is so easy.

Re: Dust Collection

I have a seperator but the way I am currently set up the seperator is in line with my jointer and planer. The tablesaw is on a different run.

Re: Dust Collection

I spent some time in the shop today but when I was done I realized I had no danger of the DC overflowing since the hose I had connected to the tablesaw was NOT the one that was connected to the DC. Fortunately the one that I had attached to the planer was. This coming week I will be doing the DC piping to eliminate the plastic slinkys all over the shop floor
