Talking A bit more storage ...

Finally, a bit more storage!

As some of you know (Curt & Ed more than others), I was planning on building a shed to the back of my garage. However, budget concerns just killed the idea ... and the need for storage sooner than later persisted.

So, this past week we landed a barn-style shed. It's 12' x 16', with about 14' at the highest point. I've installed a 12' x 8' loft for additional storage opportunities.

This weekend we painted it to match the house, and today installed the lattice around the base.

WOOHOO!!

I need to either build on or land something like that for my wood and other storage things. I am jealous.

Cool! That's a sharp looking building and probably a wise choice!

Re: A bit more storage ...

WOW! That's a really cool place to hide stuff (new tools, wood........)!

I need to get something similar. Lost mine to a large pine and hurricane Fran! Never replaced it. Some day...

Yours looks very sturdy and like it really belongs there!

Congrats!

Wayne

Landed (what I feel to be) a fair price from a small, local company in Gastonia called Barn Style Builders (www.barnstylebuilders.com). It's not a kit, you tell them what you want more/less, they cut the big pieces at their shop and then assemble on-site. Took about 1 day to get it up, then another for me to paint it and build the loft.
