Due to a good tax season, I made the following acquisitions:

Lie Nielson low angle smoothing plane, large chisel plane and scraper.
Veritas/Lee Valley no. 7 low angle jointer and scrub plane.
Woodrat with Dewalt Pluge.
Dewalt angled finish nailer (cordless).
Festool Domino and power planer.
Jet oscillating edge sander.

I live in Raleigh near Crabtree Valley. If you would like to try these out, let me know.

Thanks,

David

I'm not sure there is anything "good" about tax season, as both the State and the Feds spend way too much of our money on frivolities. However, I am pleased to hear they did not get so far in your pocket that you couldn't spend money on true necessities, as you did.

Congrats.

Wow. That is an awesome haul for sure.

Very impressive list of fine toys tools.

Great quality. Please post you thoughts on these after you've had a while to put them through the paces. I'm curious about the Jet esc edge sander.

Doug:

I have been using the edge sander and am quite impressed with it. The oscillation is achieved by the motor moving up and down and the belt sliding on the other end with the use of a spring. I typically build larger pieces of furniture and this tool will get a lot of use. Your more than welcome to try it out.

Thanks,

David

I've been wanting to use this for a while and I feel that you are worth of testing on the Suck-o-meter

I had to give the Gov't some of my tool budget

How appropriate! Must have been a big Tax Year, indeed!

David, since you seem to enjoy gloating over your Visa Bill, I would be happy to you let pay mine so you can gloat over that.
