I find it difficult to believe that anything could remind you about that more than we do You did a good job on the upgrade.

Dave:

Looks real good. I also gotta beleive that there are doors and sides coming down below. It has to make working in your shop more pleasurable.

Lookin' Good!! Bet it won't take you much time to get it "broken in"!!

Think you need a longer handle on the vise, tho

That's a very sensible upgrade. I have a habit of putting up with something until I can replace it with the final product. The "bridge" approach is economical and adds a lot of functionality.

I thought it was generally accepted practice to store wood and other "stuff" under the bench!

Nice upgrade Dave. What kind of wood did you use for the side bands? How thick it your top now?

I would like to rework my mobile work bench.....make it smaller to gain some floor space and maybe add a wood vise....but just have not taken the plunge yet.

Thanks, the top is 2½" thick at the edges and only 1" thick in the center but it is supported on a framework of tubafours. The apron is White Oak that I picked up at Habitat a while back, 1 1/8" thick 3¼" tall.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Nice job Dave. I'm in the same boat with a 'treener bench. I have never had the money when I had the time and when I've had the money, no time
