I see that the Rikon Mini Lathe is on sale now through October at Woodcraft for $199. Their website claims free shipping through tomorrow and there is no tax when ordering online as well. I'm not really in the market for a lathe yet but this seems like a great deal. Anyone know how often this comes around or do I need to act now?

I'd say that it is best to act now! but, WC does have a brick and mortar presence in NC, so you may have to pay tax on it

Actually you don't. The stores are franchises, so WC corporate does not have a presence here.

ah hah! thanks Tom! but what about that thing on NC income taxes about products shipped into the state???? aren't we, as good, law-abiding citizens, supposed to claim that and pay taxes then???

Re: Rikon Mini Lathe

It is a good deal, but the price is around about every 6 months, not sure how often the free shipping thing comes around though.

shhhhh! I used to work for one of those outfits...... don't know when someone might be listening. Heck, with all the 'domestic surveillance' going on, they could be watching us!

Re: Rikon Mini Lathe

Like Tom said about once every six months. I got mine from WC back in April for $199 and I love it!
