Checked out Raleigh Klingspor sale today and made a pleasant discovery. This is a great sale

This coupon http://www.ncwoodworker.net/forums/a...1&d=1170772688
is somewhat misleading. First, you don't need a coupon and apparently one can purchase multiple items for 20% off. Second, almost everything in the store is discounted, though some of the power tool discounts are less than 20%. Third, you can go to the store as many times as you like (between now and approx. Feb. 16) and receive the discount.

Bottom line: Great deals on large and small power tools!!!

Hey Roger. I stopped by yesterday and was told by two of the guys that it would be good through Sunday. Did they give you an extension for your birthday?

Re: Raleigh Klingspor Sale

I just got a coupon in the mail for the Winston-Salem store in the Hanes Mall area. Why, I don't know but I guess that they are doing the same thing too.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Re: Raleigh Klingspor Sale

Same thing with the coupon in Charlotte ... it wasn't needed and most everything was on sale. You could get almost the entire order at 20% off ... good deals to be had!

Re: Raleigh Klingspor Sale

It is happening at all of their stores -- I got a 20% off post card two days ago for the Hickory store and an E-Mail coupon today. I'd post it, but they are clever and have cut the e-mail image up into multiple images and it won't stay together when copied. I'll be visiting them this next week.

Not too clever for a neat little program called SnagIT ... it'll take it as you see it right off the screen!

Or the "ctrl+Printscreen" and then paste trick. That's how I did this.

Not to hijack the thread, but SnagIT is great. I mainly use it to get around the "can't print" feature of the (free or almost free) trial versions of some unnamed software

Yeah, the staff admitted they weren't sure how long the sale would go on, at least to 16th and perhaps longer Basically the coupon was an effort to get folks in the store. I never understood marketing, but I know a good deal

Jim I got a 105" x 3/16 x10tpi Timberwolf bandsaw blade for $18.36 and 13" planer knives for my Delta 22-580 for $33.29 . . . 20% off both items And I'm struggling over a return visit. Good prices on the Shop Fox jointers. But I would have to get LOML permission to set it up in the dining room

Also picked up the Wixey digital angle gauge at Woodcraft. 10% for b-day month and Klingspor doesn't carry them. All in all it was a fun day

Dave, et al.,
Since I got two coupons for the Raleigh Klingspor sale, I inquired as to why. Apparently one was from the Raleigh store I frequent and the other was info gleaned from the Hickory Xtravangaza visit. Look for a "TWS" code on the card. Those are from mailing lists Klingspor purchased.

Re: Raleigh Klingspor Sale

I made a second trip out there this morning to pick up a fence for my band saw that they ordered for me. That was prepaid, but I still managed to drop $60 somewhere between the turning tools and the cash register

Re: Raleigh Klingspor Sale

So I take it the 20% is already gone. Forgot to get back and get some wood since it was 20% off the last time I was there.

Does this 20% off happen often or was this a first?
