I'm not certain, but I believe the Charlotte Woodcraft currently has this same lathe on sale for $199. They are also offering the Nova midi chuck for 40% off, which brings that to like $80 or something like that...not sure. Anyway, be sure to check there if you are interested in this lathe..!!

Not the same lathe. The one offered (VS model) changes belts with a dial, rather than manually moving the belt to a new position. I am the one selling the VS lathe.

Ah...good clarification. That automated model typically sells for like $100 more, so this does appear to be a good deal....
