Noticed a sign on the old Kimbrell's furniture store at Cloverleaf Shopping Center (Hwy 29 and I-85) that Harbor Freight was opening a store soon. Oh...they're hiring too. The cool thing is my wife likes to shop at the Ben Franklin Crafts store across the parking lot.
Makes me wonder if they will close the Charlotte store on Independence. I think they're the only store open in that bombed out shopping center. | | Views: 265 | |

The CLT store site is being considered for a WallyWorld. I think there may be a discount beauty supply store still open in there as well. With Independence becoming an expressway they have to work out access from other streets - not too palatable an idea for the neighborhoods there. | |

That is convenient, though my wife will probably think it is a little too convenient. That shopping center does kind of have that run down feel that Harbor Freight goes for.

They'll usually try & find a spot that Big Lots left. Big Lots usually finds an old supermarket. With all the Winn Dixies out there on the block there's a lot of possibilities.  | |

Thats gonna be great. I work on the other side of Charlotte and the traffic getting to and from there sux. I like HF's disposable tools.
