Got an e-mail flyer from HF w/a lot of stuff but the 2HP DC at $169.99 seems like a really good deal. If anyone has a current HF Discount certificate this could be an outstanding deal.

Couple that with DaveO's 20% coupon, and you've got yourself a real deal!

Re: Harbor Freight DC Sale

I am certainly enjoying mine!

had it hooked up to the jointer yesterday morning, and the jointer started spitting chips back out.... checked the hose, and there was no suction, then checked the blast gate, which was wide open.... then followed up at the DC itself, and found that a dust mask had somehow gotten in the collector, and was flat against the 'seive' near the impeller. considering how many chips were in the way on top of that dust mask, I was shocked it was pulling as much as it was.... cleared the blockage, and WHOOOOMPF! right back up to about 1200 cfm. I like it

Re: Harbor Freight DC Sale

I've had mine hooked up to my table saw and planer for 3 years - not to mention many other odd jobs it has cleaned up for me.

Never have had a problem with anything on it. Because of the amount of planing I do, I did buy the 'garbage can lid' chip collector from woodcraft and add that to the line. Most of the time that is what fills up and I don't have to check the bag. That is, unless I forget to check the can from time to time - dang thing filled both the upper and lower bags on me once before it started to loose suction. Can't complain about a machine that strong.

David

Re: Harbor Freight DC Sale

i got one too and love it. I replaced the top bag with a wynn cartridge and the lower one with a plastic bags. Cartridge Filters

has anoyone found any trashcans that are a good fit for the dc that can take the place of the lower bag?

messing with those clamps to get a tight fit around a plastic bag is real frustrating. I had no idea a planar generated so much trash. After one or two sessions and the plastic bag has to be replaced
