Belt Sander NEW

Is Craftsman any good?

Phillip

I have a Brand New NEVER USED Craftsman Bench Top sander. It has a 4"x36" belt and a 6" disc. This sander sells for 119.99. You won't beat this deal unless your favorite uncle gives you one. $65

Re: Belt Sander NEW

I had a similar Delta model, and I miss it. The switch went bad, and wasn't worth replacing. I still use it by pluggin' it in and it starting right away That's a good deal for someone who doesn't have any mechanical sanding machines.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Re: Belt Sander NEW

I have been wanting to get one like this - I would get this one if it wasn't in Fuquay-Varina - that is to far for me - with the gas prices I might as well go to the store and pay full price

Listen to Dick. If you buy it, the North Carolina Woodworker Express can help.

Re: Belt Sander NEW

I have been to that Sears Outlet and you can get some great deals. I was on my way to the Harbor Freight last month to purchase an air powered impact wrench. Instead, I found a refurb at the Sears outlet. It is a much better tool than the Harbor Freight and about $15 cheaper. I can't recall, but I think it comes with a warranty too.

Re: Belt Sander NEW

Phillip,
If it's not gone "or you bought it" go ahead and buy it. The pony express is alot better than the "Big Brown Truck". I've got proof in my shop.Ups is great but in the long run you get to meet a fellow member. And that makes it worth while. And you can't beat the price!

Re: Belt Sander NEW

The seller still has this sander - has anyone ever bought anything off of Craig's list - if I was to buy this one what would be my next step?

Re: Belt Sander NEW

Phillip, there are two ways I can think of to handle. You can agree to send the seller a check. Once they have it it would be a matter of having a North Carolina Woodworker member near by pick it up and start the North Carolina Woodworker Express. Or you can send a North Carolina Woodworker member the money so they pay cash to the seller. Where is the seller?
