Wood properties

I found this website with lots of different kinds of wood, and indexed properties about them. It's very informative. I am sure that this will be redundant for a lot of the more experienced folks here, but for newbies it should be a pretty good (free!) resource

here's the link:

Re: Wood properties

Thanks Marco, that is a good resource. It has information on many species not listed on similar type lists. Please add it to our Link Library...if you don't mind

Thanks Tracy, for taking care of that

Marco, for future reference all you need to do is open the Link Library, then in the top menu you'll see Submit Link, click that and fill in the blanks. Your link might need approval, which should happen very quickly, but don't be surprised if it dosn't show up right away.
HTH, Dave

Tracy -- Thanks for covering for me while I'm gone (I have very limited access while on my trip).
