what is Ambrosia maple???
I was wondering what ambrosia maple is?? is it a certain species of maple or is it just where minerals or beetles have gotten in the tree.

Beetles and they make wonderful stains in the wood. Here's a few pics

That is what I thought... I have noticed that alot of times pieces that I get have (what I thought) were beetle hole towards the middle of the stripes. Thanks for the quick answer Jeff.
