not so much a gloat, but a THANKS!

Newtowood, Mr Tracy scored the gloat. He got a load of cedar very cheap and in his exhuberance to gloat ( my words not his) I think must have slipped off his rocker cause he offered to share it with others!
Through his kindness and generosity, and the fantastic express, (ala the Skippers) I now have in my (our -I keep getting reminded) hand(s) some great looking cedar! Thanks so much Tracy, John, and Cathy!
In the process my wife and I got to meet CSkipper and her husband StoneSkipper.
Folks let me tell you, getting to meet such kind and generous people as we have had the honor of meeting from this web site has been a boost to us in many ways!
They not only welcomed us into their home, we got the grand tour of their shop(s), we walked off with some extra goodies (out of pure kindness and generosity), and best of all we made some special friends! All for taking a relaxing drive down the hill. We won't talk about the ride back in the storm.... certainly not planned lol
Now I have got to get off my duff and get to work.
I'm still trying to find ways to pay it forward. So if anyone needs a random act of kindness - watch out. I'm overdue.

Re: not so much a gloat, but a THANKS!

You are making me blush. This site gives so much to all of us it was the least I could do to give back to a few. And you can bet if ever I run up on a deal like that again, I will do the same thing. Now just make something pretty with it and the gift will be complete in my heart!! I hope you enjoy!!!! Just wish I had enough for everyone.

Re: not so much a gloat, but a THANKS!

It was great getting to meet Andy and Robin. They managed to find us despite my poor directions. Sorry ya'll hit the storm on the way home - but aren't you glad you had the car and not the pick-up - would've gotten the cedar wet!

Thanks, again, Tracy.

Andrew you created and are organizing the "gathering in the mountains". Even if attendance is light you have more then "Paid it forward". It is this spirit of giving, sharing and freindship that makes this site ROCK!!!
